Study, for what ?? Part II

It's really fast as right now we are all facing our FINAL final examinations at UTAR, and we have just finished two subjects.

I'm always testing out different methods of studying which suits me the most and also which is more effective and gets the best result. During this semester, maybe it is the last semester, I just wanna get over with it and start a whole new journey, and not much changes can we made to our current result, so basically this semester is just for me to pass by and say bye bye.

I Am Finally Graduating!

At the age of 18, I have left home for the first time, I am gonna start to study at UTAR!

When I first came, I always wanted to go back home, wanted to go back to meet my friends, my ex-girlfriend, my family and I missed the food so much!

My first class in foundation is TD4.

Do you have any regrets coming to UTAR?

During class, I got an interesting message from someone I do not know.


She send me a message and said this " hi, i have enrolled in UTAR recently but at the same time i have heard many bad news about UTAR too. For example, the lecturers are not good, the clubs and societies are not active and many more. Can you tell me your experience in UTAR?"

Then I asked her back , "What's the reason for you to enrol in UTAR then?"


She said "Fees are cheap !"

Is Actuarial Science That Hard?

Not so sure what I have done this recently but I really got one big loads of questions asking me this, usually through Facebook.

"Hey, Guan Han, are you studying Actuarial Science (AS)?"
"Yeah~"
"Is it hard?"


According to my very mini survey, 8 out of 10, it's their 2nd question in asking something about AS (1st question is to confirm whether I'm taking AS)

Meeting With the HOD - UTAR

Today we have a meeting among all course representatives from Actuarial Science and Applied Mathematics with the HOD (Head of Department) - Setapak FES. However I believe it will be useful for Engineering student as well because it involves more facility stuffs.

It wasn't really a meaningful meeting ( seems like they're rushing to go somewhere) , but i hope this meeting will be useful , at least I will see some changes.

So , basically , after gathering so much info from our coursemates , this is what I proposed / comment / complaint . I will put parking at the last issue .

看来这个地方已生满野草与昆虫。。是时候打理打理一下。。最一次的post也是去年十一月。。也真的很久没进来这个地方了。。是不是太过忙？？还是自己在给自己理由？？

今天刚刚交上stochastic assignment.. 这次需要打programming的。。我对Programming还算是有一点点的兴趣，IT时代。。一定要略懂一点。。but叫我去当programmer就应该不能。。我这个人。。没耐心，没恒心。。叫我打一万行的coding应该很快就死了。。 X.X

Mr. Procastinator

Wow , this recently I have been super duper slow .

Not really sure , what I know is , when i woke up at 8am , then i do not know what have i done for 2 hours, suddenly will reach 10am de , but still sit down facing the computer , then very busy loe ,

have to check out my crops, have to plow it , den seed it again .. then have to prepare meals for a lot of people , now a lot ppl coming to my shop already ... then have to take care of the my roller coaster..wa..busy man.. ( if u get what i mean )

SOA is 2 weeks away from me.. JIA YOU !! All the best to the others also.

Stress-free ?? Or Under Stress

Do you have problems like this when your facing an important exam or any important event ?

• Can't sleep the night before
• Keep thinking bout it
• Depression
• Heart beats very fast
• Crying
• Keep eating
• Go Kee Xiao

I think some people have it , maybe most people have it.

I always thought that i'm free from stress , but i think that is just a big lie to me myself.

I can tell you , when I'm under stress , i don't have those symptoms as above , but I have another special symptoms...

Which is .. I will need to do big business , yes !! BIG business inside the toilet , all the time..

Happens before exams , happens every year for Hari Sukan , happens when there's any important competition, happens before NS marathon ...

Stupid man ... And .. the worst part is...

Let's take an example for the two days I sat for Advanced Calculus and Probability & Statistics.

Before I went school , settle everything in the toilet, so means should be all clear.

However , IS NOT !!

Today's Probability & Statistic is a killing paper, the answer he want is so long for every question and he only gave us 2 hours !! That is crazy man , we need at least 2 and a half hour.

Get back to the main point , doing this paper is so kan cheong , but when you feel your stomach is rolling here and there and cold sweat is keep coming out , and you know that you cannot go to the toilet because there's not enough time , THAT IS MORE KAN CHEONG !!

Haih , that kind of feeling is terrible man..

Exam Tips

Today I'm going to show the big difference between secondary school and university , not really sure whether it applies to all school , but UTAR , yes !

Last time , especially before SPM , for sure we keep on receiving messages saying this one this one will come out for exam , end up nothing come out , these exam tips are useless .

I'm consider i'm in the group that prepare well but don't mind looking at the tips given people.

There's one thing for sure , I don't really trust exam tips , until today. I think is going to pull people to hell if I take that tips as my study bible.

Things are a bit different at here , before finals , for sure there will be exam tips flying around here and there , sometimes i just look at it once , then don't care already.

However , usually after exam , i will heard conversation like this " eh , come out the same as tips, lucky i study tips man !"

I'm like .. okay... should have read the tips also.

This time , for microeconomics paper, also got tips , but i think i'm the super degil type , still never follow tips, at last still never read tips , end up finals come out according to tips , what the hell man..

I should have read tips man ! Damn !
